The Delhi Commission for Women issued a notice to the Ghaziabad Police on Wednesday (October 19) following the horrific incident. The head of the commission said that this incident of gang rape is reminiscent of the Nirbhaya incident.
The women's commission said the incident took place on October 16. The victim, to attend his brother's birthday celebrations, was waiting for an autorickshaw at a place in Ghaziabad. At that time four miscreants kidnapped him in an SUV. Later another one joined them. After that, the four miscreants tortured the woman after holding her for two days.
The women's commission also said that the victim is admitted in a hospital in Delhi in a critical condition. He is undergoing treatment there. However, his condition is still not stable. In view of this incident, today, the Women's Commission has issued a notice to the Superintendent of Police, Ghaziabad asking for the copy of the FIR and the details of the action taken in the case.
