Finally got victory. The Enforcement Directorate will be able to take Anubrata Mondal's bodyguard Saygal Hossain to Delhi and interrogate him in the cow smuggling case.
In this case, after the case was dismissed by the CBI court and the Calcutta High Court, permission was finally granted to a court in Delhi. According to experts, the investigation agency may also take Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal to Delhi in the next case by getting permission to take Saigal Hussain to Delhi for questioning.
It is to be noted that besides recruitment related corruption, Bengal politics has been in turmoil due to the cow smuggling case. Saygal Hossain, the bodyguard of Anubrata Mandal, was arrested first in this case. In this case, despite being an ordinary bodyguard, the CBI found traces of crores of property with him and later Saigal was arrested for not being able to account.
Incidentally, since the arrest of Anuvrata Mondal in this case, controversy has spread throughout Bengal. The Central Intelligence Agency traced a large amount of property in the name of Anubrata's close businessmen and relatives. At the same time, they are also looking at the property of Anuvrata's daughter Sukanya Mandal. Meanwhile, ED took Saigal into custody in this case. In this case, they did not stop only with custody. Later, an application was made to take Anuvrata's bodyguard to Delhi for interrogation. However, the ED did not give up even though their plea was dismissed first by the special CBI court at Asansol and later by the Calcutta High Court.
Recently, a separate case was filed in Delhi's Rouse Avenue court, during the hearing of which the court finally allowed the accused to be taken to Delhi after hearing the pleas of the ED and Saigal Hussain's lawyers.
According to experts, the Central Intelligence Agency may request to bring Anuvrata Mandal to Delhi for questioning sometime after the interrogation of Saigal Hussain in Delhi. In that case, they think that the controversy over cow smuggling will increase. At the same time, the ED has summoned Anuvrata's daughter Sukanya Mondal to Delhi later this month. As a result, it is needless to say that the investigating agency is not sparing any effort to solve the mystery of the corruption case.
