According to local sources, the owner and two other workers were working in the food shop there. Suddenly the gas cylinder caught fire. Suddenly the whole area shook with loud noise. The shop owner Gautam Mohapatra along with two other workers were burnt on the spot due to gas cylinder blast. After receiving the news, police from Ghatal police station went to the area with a fire engine.
All three seriously injured persons were sent to Ghatal sub-district hospital. As their condition deteriorated, all were shifted to Calcutta. Firefighters arrived and brought the fire under control. Panic spread as there were many shops as well. Police from Ghatal police station are on the spot. Firefighters are investigating the cause of the gas cylinder blast. In this regard, local resident Anup Majhi said, "There was a noise in the morning." At that time I heard the gas cylinder blasted. A total of three were injured.' A gas blast in the kitchen. The gas cylinder exploded while cooking in the kitchen in the building. Three were seriously injured. The skin is torn from the body. Perhaps this happened while lighting the fire. We immediately rescued them and sent them to the hospital. Three have no skin on their bodies. Finally, I heard that they were taken to Kolkata.
