New Delhi: Congress received the new president on Wednesday. More than two decades later, a leader outside the Gandhi family sat in the top post of Congress. Congress president elections were held across the country on Monday. On Wednesday, the vote was seen in the voting, defeating the rival Congress leader Shashi Tarur and won by Mallikarjun Kharage.
According to sources, Mallikarjun Kharage got 5 out of a total of 5 votes. On the other hand, Shashi Taruru has 1,212 votes. 3 votes have been canceled. It is clear in these statistics that the Congress president has won by a huge vote of the election. As a result, after Sitaram Kesari, someone outside the Gandhi family became president of the oldest political party in the country.

Mallikarjun Kharage and Shashi Taroor (Shashi Tharoor) took the fight to become Congress president. However, almost everyone agrees that Kharagi is going to sit in the president's chair. Because, even if none of the Gandhi contested, Kharag is seen as a 'approved' candidate. However, the two candidates were confident enough to win their own.
Both of the Kharag and Taru said that the Gandhi was neutral about the elections. At the same time, Taru's complaint, "Due to the bias of another party towards another candidate, we have been adversely." However, Madhusudan Mistry, chairman of the Congress Central Election Authority, expressed satisfaction over the election, saying a "free, fair and transparent".
The ballot box arrived from different parts of the country on Tuesday. It is there that the counting starts at 9am this morning.
Good to say, since independence, most of the time has led the Congress to some members of the Gandhi family. He has been elected unanimously. With more than one candidate, the election was held in the Congress only six times. For the first time, Mahatma Gandhi -backed P Sitaramaiya lost to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
