Kashmiri Pandit Shefali takes oath as US ambassador with hand on Gita

 

US Ambassador: Shefali was born in 1971 to a Kashmiri Pandit couple in Haridwar. He was only two years old when his family moved to Pennsylvania.

According to sources, Shefali was born in 1971 to a Kashmiri Pandit couple in Haridwar. He was only two years old when his family moved to Pennsylvania. Later they moved to Cincinnati. Shefali grew up there. Attended Sycamore High School. He later earned a bachelor's degree in mass communication from the University of Miami and a master's degree in media ecology from New York University. She married Rajat Duggal in 1998.
