 Penny Stocks: Global stock market trend is negative. As a result, they traded lower on Friday. But the glaring exception is the Indian stock market. Indian stock market indices opened the day higher on Friday. The advance-decline ratio is in favor of the advance. As, 1,906 shares rose and 1,170 shares declined on BSE.


The BSE Sensex rose 0.45% to 59,468 at 10:35 am on Friday. The Nifty 50 index rose 0.40% to touch 17,633. Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Titan were the top gainers on the Sensex. Bajaj Finance, Asian Paints and IndusInd Bank suffered losses.

Jindal Worldwide was the top gainer in BSE Smallcap. It has gained as much as 15%. Broader indices were higher on the day. Their performance was quite good. Shares of Vijaya Diagnostic Center and Exxaro Tiles were generally well bought. Omkar Specialty Chemicals, Tips Films and Ansal Buildwell were the top gainers on the BSE.


Axis Bank was the biggest gainer in the Sensex. It has increased by more than 5%. Because, its quarterly results are good enough, which has given hope to investors. The BSE Bankex sector led the gains on Friday as overall quarterly results were good. Financial services and consumer durables stocks made significant gains. While BSE IT and BSE Teck were the worst performers.
