The entire incident was caught on the CCTV footage of the bank. In that video clip, the robber entered the bank with a bag. Then left the bag and entered the bank with a knife. In another video clip, the robber is seen inside the bank threatening bank staff. According to the police, his name is Lavish Arora.
Branch manager Poonam Gupta came out of her cabin after hearing the commotion outside. At that time the robber was moving around the bank on quick foot and demanding money. Also forcing an employee to stuff money in his bag. And while doing this, a pair of pliers fell out of his pocket. Sensing the opportunity, Poonam Gupta picked up the pliers. Then he grabbed it and forced the robber to run away. As he fled, he blocked the bank's main entrance.
According to the police, Lavish Arora is a resident of Davda Colony in Sriganganagar. He has already been arrested. Jawahar Nagar police officers are interrogating him. Lavish Arora's past criminal record is also being looked into. The bank authorities have also given their report to the police about the incident.
